Reflection: My Hope is Built on Nothing Less

My hope is built on nothing less, but on the knowledge that Christ has died for me, and that at the end of the day, I'll be up in heaven with God.

It is this hope that keeps me motivated, to want to know God more, and live a live worthy of His child. No matter how bad the world becomes, no matter what trials come my way, it's this hope that keeps me motivated.

In times of trials, it's the hope and knowledge that God will make a way for me that makes me want to persevere.

The difference between us and the non-Christians is not the present, but the future when we die...cos we know that when we die, we'll be up in heaven, enjoying eternal life. So what if we suffer now? We have that eternal life to look forward to, to hope for

so...Onward Christian Soldiers! Persevere!!

Reflection: Meeting God

Indeed, God never forsakes us. I am always reminded how God has been watching over me, taking care of my every needs.

At the same time, I thank God that no matter how bad I've been, no matter how insignificant I am, He still wants to be in my life.
And unlike the Old Testament days, where we cannot approach God directly cos we're sinners, and where we need a priest or Moses to intercede for us...today, we have Jesus. Through His blood, we are cleansed clean, and can meet God face-to-face.

How can we meet God in today's context?
the most obvious way is through the Bible...cos everything written in there is God inspired, God breathed. The next is through fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ. We can see how God had worked in them, and how God is reflected through them. Lastly, through our own daily lives. Everything we do, everything that happens, take a minute to step back n reflect...everything's happening in God's perfect plan. See how God is at work in our lives - He's involving Himself in our daily lives!
