A Story to Remember

Aunty Priscilla wasn't able to join us at Bible Study this morning, and so we (Sec 1 girls) decided to write a story to help us remember the 27 books of the New Testament. The aim was to inject some fun, as well as to help us remember the order of the books. This way, Bible Study and Quiet Time in future will be easier when we need to flip the Bible lots!
So, here goes our story...

One day, 4 brothers – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John [4 Gospels] – were reading the book of Acts [Acts] when a Roman [Romans] soldier walked by.

The soldier wanted the brothers to cook [1, 2 Corinthians] Grilled EggPlant with Chilli [Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians]. The brothers did so, and included 2 Tiramisus [1, 2 Thessalonians] and 2 cups of Tea [1, 2 Timothy], which the soldier shared with his friend, Titus [Titus].

While they were eating, a Fila-Monster [Philemon] Hopped [Hebrews] out of the Jungle [James], and attempted to steal their food. So, the soldiers threw 2 Papayas [1, 2 Peter] and 3 Jellies [1, 2, 3 John] at the monster. It Jumped [Jude] and Retreated [Revelation] back into the jungle.

~ The End ~
